as you can probably tell from the themeing, this is primarily Xenoblade-focused, though won't be limited to just Xenoblade! there'll be stuff about any of the games i enjoy (such as TWEWY, 999, Nier: Automata), plus anything else i feel like adding :)

ultimately i want Beyond the Sky to harken back to the internet of the mid-2000s; basically just being a place of passion and interactivity!

however, it's currently under HEAVY construction, and i'm really learning on the fly here, so please stay tuned as i gradually work out how to put this thing together :'')

the fic archive page has been ready to go for about a month now and i just ?? haven't uploaded it ?? for reasons unknown even to myself. which is why the new writing log has an update from over a month ago lmao. as for the fic recs page, i redesigned it to hopefully be easier to use and easier on the eyes -- please let me know what you think!

super excited to finally get the xenoblade 3 page up; it's been half-finished for aaaages now, but i couldn't quite get it to work. today though something just clicked so i've spent most of the day working on it, and it's finally ready for the site!! i eventually want to add more screenshots of the scenery and the party (as a group) but oddly -- despite having almost 400 xenoblade 3 screenshots on my switch -- don't have any on hand to add yet.

also finally changed the 'image of the week'. i added it during the last update and then completely forgot about it lmao. i ought to set an alarm on my phone or something.

updated versions of the home page and about page have gone live! i don't think i've touched the about page at all since i first made this site, and it's been in desperate need of an update. as i've gained more coding experience and spent enough time on neocities to work out what i do and don't like in terms of a site's layout, i wanted to re-design and unify a lot of the pages on Beyond the Sky, so where better to start than with the home and about!

these updates are the first in a larger site overhaul that's in process. there's a LOT of work going on behind the scenes as i redesign pages, put together new ones, and add content to those that are pre-existing but barebones. updated pages are going to be published in batches, in an attempt to strike a balance between Getting Shit Done while Keeping My Site Updated :]

27.02.24my flat's kitchen window is broken because the stripper pole fell through it during our frat party. we still haven't worked out what we're gonna tell the landlord lmao. i've been BUSY this summer but my bestie put me onto Cult of the Lamb, which i've been playing a lot of when i get the downtime! my followers are all named after infectious diseases lmfao

18.10.23the election results were BAD, y'all. i am in Despair. we're not talking about it. also, the following morning there was a fucking GAS LEAK in my house ??!!??!? everyone's fine, thankfully, and it's all fixed now, but it left us without gas or hot water for a few days so i've been very stinky >:( i finished Sea of Stars, so i'm gonna add my thoughts about it to my gamelog at some point, and now i'm playing Plague Inc! bitches love disease (i'm bitches).

11.10.23 life is soooo busy at the moment .... mostly fun stuff, but it's all very tiring! i don't have much energy when i get home, so i've mostly been playing Sea of Stars in my free time. i also recently joined my local community band! i've missed playing in an ensemble soooo much ;u; tomorrow i'm going to vote in the general election, and then go to the arcade with my best friend afterwards, and i'm really excited !!
